Wireless Manual Pulse Generator for Fanuc0i-MF · 0i-TF · 30i / 31i / 32i · 18i · 16i

Plug and play: match the wiring to your Fanuc port and it's done. No parameter edits, no ladder changes — the control cannot tell the difference between this and the cabled handwheel it replaced.

What the Fanuc port expects

Same figures for Basic and Advanced: the difference between the two models is the safety hardware, not the signal. Whichever Fanuc family the machine runs (0i-MF, 0i-TF, 30i/31i/32i, 18i or 16i), the receiver presents Model A axis and rate coding: one dedicated line per position, matching what the JA3 connector's handwheel channels already expect. That is what lets the pendant sit on the existing port without touching a parameter.

Model A is the standard coding for Fanuc MPG ports: one dedicated line per axis and per rate, matching the JA3 connector's three separate handwheel channels. Model A is also the default on Mitsubishi and Syntec MPG ports; Model B is used where the control decodes a binary axis word instead — we confirm which one your control expects before wiring. The receiver's own terminal legend (E-stop, enable, extension keys) is in the wiring diagrams download.

Basic or Advanced

Two models, both wired for your Fanuc port

Basic is the right unit for jogging from outside the guarding. If operators work inside the envelope with guards open, the safety hardware on Advanced is not optional. Both wire into the same Fanuc MPG port with the same 5 V single-ended A/B signal, run on the same 433 MHz link with a 50 m interference-free range, and last about two months on two AA cells: the choice between them is about where the operator stands relative to the machine, not about the Fanuc control at all.

Basic MPG

Handwheel, 5-axis selector, ×1/×10/×100 magnification. The direct wired-pendant replacement for jogging, edge finding and tool setting.

Advanced MPG

Adds E-stop with emergency relay output, enable (deadman) button and three assignable keys. For operators working inside the envelope.

Questions

Wireless MPG for Fanuc: questions

Does it work with my Fanuc control?

Yes if it is a 0i-MF, 0i-TF, 30i, 31i, 32i, 18i or 16i with a manual pulse generator port. Not listed? Send the control model on the quote form and we will confirm before shipping.

Does a wireless MPG need Fanuc parameter changes?

No. The receiver presents the same A/B quadrature, axis and rate signals as a wired MPG. It lands on the existing MPG port with a matched pinout.

Is a wireless MPG always the right upgrade for a Fanuc machine?

Not always. If the machine runs long production batches and the handwheel is touched a few times a week, a wired pendant on the JA3 port will outlast the argument for changing it. On a small mill or lathe where the operator is never more than a couple of metres from the panel, the extra reach buys nothing. And if nobody on the floor will own swapping two AA cells roughly every two months, a wired pendant is the more dependable unit. Wireless earns its keep on Fanuc machines doing frequent job-shop setting (edge finding, tool touch-off, re-fixturing) where walking back to the panel between increments is the actual cost.
