Two signal families land on two different modules: quadrature on the handwheel counter port, axis/rate selection on the MCP or distributed I/O.
- 5V differential signals (RS422 line driver): 100 PPR quadrature channels (A, /A and B, /B) land on the controller's handwheel counter port.
- 24V discrete PLC logic for selection: Axis selection (X, Y, Z, 4, 5) and increment multiplication (INC 1, INC 10, INC 100) are read as 24V active-high (PNP) digital inputs into the Machine Control Panel (MCP) or distributed I/O module.
