Electrical specifications for Mitsubishi handwheel inputs
Same differential quadrature family as Fanuc: one dedicated line per axis and rate, wired into the R-I/O unit or operation panel card.
- Pulse encoder: 100 PPR optical encoder with 90° phase shift between Channels A and B.
- Signal logic: 5V RS422 differential line driver (HA, *HA, HB, *HB) rejecting electromagnetic noise from high-frequency spindle servopacks.
- Axis & rate selection: Discrete digital inputs into the Mitsubishi R-I/O unit or operation panel card.
- Emergency circuit: Hardwired dual-channel emergency stop loop wired in series with the machine's EMG contactor string.
